Diyodar Meteorite That Struck Gujarat Could Be a Rare ‘Aubrite’ from Mercury!
Just because we haven’t made contact with aliens yet doesn’t mean that we haven’t had a taste of the otherworldly.
Meteorites keep crashing onto our planet every now and then, which is especially serendipitous since they often bring elements we can only hope to find anywhere on Earth.
One such example occurred just last year, when a meteorite hijacked our atmosphere and crashed in two Gujarat villages belonging to the Diyodar taluka.
Luckily, the damage was minimal since one only struck a neem tree, shattering itself and one poor tree branch in the Rantila village.
The other, unfortunately, landed about 10 kilometres away on the porch of a house in Ravel, creating a small crater in its wake.
