The Evolution Championship series has just announced its fighting game lineup for 2023, and we couldn’t be more excited.
Returning favorites from last year include Guilty Gear Strive, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Tekken 7, King of Fighters XV, Melty Blood: Type Lumina and Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate.
But that’s not all – the classic Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 is also making a comeback to the roster.
And let’s not forget about the big new release from Capcom – Street Fighter 6 will be making its EVO debut this year!
Unfortunately, if you’re a fan of Smash Bros., you’ll have to sit this one out, as Nintendo has decided to go their own way and keep the game out of the competition.
The winners of each game will be taking home medals, trophies, and their share of a $25,000 USD prize pool.
That’s right – each tournament has a guaranteed $25,000 prize pool, with the money split between the top 6 finalists.
In other tournament news, Nintendo just announced a partnership with Generation Esports, introducing a handful of Switch games (including Super Smash) to the Middle Schools Esports League Spring Major.
