Hey everyone, it’s your favorite science and technology blogger here with some exciting news for Chrono Cross fans!
If you’re like me, you were probably disappointed with last year’s “remastered” version of the classic game on the PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Switch.
The game was a bad port, with issues like blurry pre-rendered backgrounds, awkward 3D character models, stuttering combat, and no option to swap graphical styles on the fly.
Not to mention, there were no save states!
Yikes!
But fear not, because Square Enix is finally taking action.
They’ve promised an update later this month that will address some of these problems.
While we don’t know exactly how many issues will be fixed or how well they’ll be addressed, it’s a start, and fans deserve better than the wonky port they’ve been given.
In a statement from the Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition development team, they outlined some of the changes that will be included in the update.
They’re promising framerate improvements, changes to the growth system for Pip, and fixes for other bugs.
